Nice to Meet You!
Hi! I’m Helen Olivier, your friendly neighborhood AuDHD woman — part-autistic, part-ADHD, fully trying-my-best.
I started this blog because I know exactly how confusing and exhausting it is to live in a world that is not designed for our brains, and I believe we deserve better tools and more compassion.
After years of feeling like I’m failing at life, my autistic and ADHD diagnosis shifted the narrative for me. I realized I’m not a neurotypical that sucks at life – I’m a neurodivergent person that is pretty good at living it on the hard mode.
On this blog, you’ll find practical tips, personal stories, and honest conversations about what it really means to live as an AuDHD adult in a world that wasn’t exactly built with us in mind. I share what I learned (often the hard way) about living with AuDHD, what helps me — from productivity hacks to emotional coping strategies — and an occasional wandering thought. I hope you will find here things that will help you live a little bit easier, stories you find relatable and (a bit of inspiration for your own routines and coping mechanisms).
I’m not a coach or a doctor — just someone who’s been through it and wants to help. This blog is my way of saying: “You’re not broken. You’re not alone. We will get through this together.
When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me reading piles of sci-fi and fantasy books,, forgetting why I walked into the kitchen, or drinking tea while petting my rats.
Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of AuDHD life — let’s make it work for us.
